Bruce Hyett
Bruce Hyett, creator of Prince Albert Vineyard, passed away on February 17. He was 89. With the initial
help of Neil Everest, Bruce built the vineyard and winery from scratch, specialising in Pinot Noir and was
instrumental in putting Australian Pinot on the map. In recent years he has been consultant, mentor and
friend to new owner Dr David Yates. He is sadly missed.
David Yates
David Yates purchased the vineyard in 2007 and has set about improving it without changing the fundamental style of the wine. David grew up on a mixed farm and studied chemistry at university, giving him a good background for taking over.
